Pickleball (Indoor)

DATE: Friday-Sunday, February 27 - March 1, 2026

(Deadline is Feb. 13th at 4pm BUT the events will likely reach capacity before the deadline. Please make sure to register early to secure yourself a spot in this tournament)

LOCATION: Bash Pickleball Club, 6881 Chicago Rd, Warren, MI 48092

EVENTS: Singles, Doubles, & Mixed Doubles

TIME/SCHEDULE:

Friday, 2/27 -- Men’s Doubles & Women’s Singles

Saturday, 2/28 -- Mixed Doubles

Sunday,3/1 -- Women’s Doubles & Men’s Singles

This tournament is a NOT A QUALIFIER for the National Senior Games.

Skill levels are as follows 3.0 (this includes 3.499 and below), 3.5 (include 3.999 and below), 4.0 and above. But, you may choose a higher skill level if you want.

Athletes will compete in 5 year age groups (50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+).

***THIS WILL BE A NON-SANCTIONED EVENT AND WILL NOT REQUIRE YOU TO BE A MEMBER OF USAP*** You do need to have a DUPR ID in your pickleball.com profile in order to register.

COST: FEES EXPLAINED

$25 MSO Membership Fee Required to participate - The membership fee for the Michigan Senior Olympics covers both the Winter & Summer Games in 2026. As a non-profit organization the Membership Fee is what helps to keep our programs up and running.

$53 Registration Fee - This includes Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles - All athletes will receive a t-shirt and welcome bag

$5-$10 Processing fee - This fee is charged through pickleballbrackets (not MSO). The processing fees all go directly to pickleballbrackets.com. This fee is per event with the 3rd event being free. If you are only doing 1 event you will have a $5 processing fee, if you do 2 or 3 events the total would be $10.

We will be using DUPR ratings and submitting results to DUPR. We will check DUPR ratings on 2/15 and move you to a higher skill level if your rating is higher than when you registered. If your DUPR drops and you want to move to a lower skill bracket you must do that before 2/15. If you think your DUPR is incorrect you must appeal to DUPR at support@mydupr.com and have it changed by 2/15. NOTE: there are limits on bracket size which might hinder changes you request.

SINGLES and DOUBLES FORMAT:

Groups of 3 or 4 will do a double round robin with games 1-15 NO PLAYOFFS

Groups of 5-6 will play round robin with 1 game to 15 - NO PLAYOFFS

Groups of 7 will play round robin with 1 game to 11 - NO PLAYOFFS

Each skill/age is limited to 7. If an age/skill has only 1 or 2 it will be combined with another age or skill. If it is necessary to increase an age/skill to 8 because of this, then the format will be one game to 11. Medals are awarded separately. We will not split into pools.

You may change your choice of skill only until registration is closed and only if the bracket is not full. Then your choice is final. If you need to replace a partner after that, he/she must fit into your bracket. One of the two partners must be the age group of the bracket.

Once a skill/age is full, new registrants go onto the waitlist. If there are withdrawals, teams will be moved off the waitlist in order of registration. If you register and you do not have a paid partner within 5 days, you will be moved to the Waitlist. Do not delay in getting a partner and be sure they register and pay

Your registration fee includes two events. If you register for a third there is an additional $10 fee.

REFUND POLICY

No refund without doctors note after 2/15.

REMINDER: There is a non-refundable software service fee charged to players by Pickleballbrackets.com. This is $5 per event ($10 maximum) and must be paid even if you are signing up without a partner and do not get in. You do not pay it if you are on the Waitlist when you first register for the event. It will become due if you are moved off the Waitlist.
