1 MILE, 5K Run & 10K Run

The National Senior Games and Michigan Senior Olympics have added a 1 mile run to the Road Race schedule this year! We have also picked a new venue to try out for the 1 Mile and 5K Road Races. We will be out at Waterford Hills Road Racing (4770 Waterford Rd, City of the Village of Clarkston, MI 48346). This will be a FUN course to race on.

DATE/TIME/LOCATION:

  • Road Races (Running) -

    • 1 Mile (NEW) - Wednesday, August 7th - Waterford Hills Road Racing (11:30am)

    • 5K - Thursday, August 8th - 8am - Waterford Hills Road Racing

    • 10K - Sunday, October 13th - This will be part of the Probility Ann Arbor Marathon - https://www.annarbormarathon.com/ (more info coming soon) - Registration for the 10K will be separate from the 5K and 1 Mile Run.

COST:

  • $25 for the 5K only

  • $15 for the 1 Mile only

  • $35 total for both the 5K and 1 Mile

  • 10K must be a member of MSO & Register through the Ann Arbor Marathon - The MSO will have a table at the Ann Arbor Marathon for Medal pick-up. MSO tshirt will NOT be given to athletes only competing in the 10K. The 10K athletes will get the sway provided by Epic Races.

All athletes must be a member of the Michigan Senior Olympics. …$25 Yearly MSO Membership Fee (if not already a 2024 MSO member, valid 1/1/24-12/31/24)

***There is a $5 processing fee for credit card transactions or you will have the option at the end of the online registration to mail in a check at no additional fee.

- MSO Opening Ceremony – Friday, August 9, 2024 from 6-8pm at Bloomer Park - Join us for a FREE event for all athletes and your families. This event will include FREE FOOD, Live Music by “Tommy Gunn and the GMen”, vendor tables, inflatable games, torch lighting ceremony, and much more!

- Celebration of Athletes Dinner & Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony - Monday, August 19, 2024 - Italian American Cultural Society, 43843 Romeo Plank Rd #1, Clinton Twp, MI 48038 – Cost: $30 per ticket - Includes dinner, Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony, Silent Auction, and Guest Speaker: Ken Dallafior, Detroit Lions Alumni. MUST PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE!!!

POLICIES

- OPTIONAL MEDICAL WAIVER: With the medical waiver you will receive 100% refund of registration fees if you cancel because of a medical condition with a doctor’s letter. The $8 cost of the waiver is non-refundable. NO refunds after July 23, 2024 without the paid medical waiver.
- REFUND POLICY: If you request a refund before July 21, 2024 there is a $5 administration fee charged. No refunds after July 21, 2024 without the paid medical waiver.
- INCLEMENT WEATHER: There will be NO REFUNDS of entry fees because of rain or an other acts of nature. Sports using outdoor sites are weather dependent. Competitions will be conducted unless officials determine otherwise.
