Tom is a retired Certified Public Accountant who spent much of his career providing litigation support services. A competitive swimmer in high school, he returned to the pool in 2011 after many years away from the sport. He discovered the Michigan Senior Olympics soon after and has competed every year since 2012.

This is Tom's first year serving on the Michigan Senior Olympics Board of Directors. In addition to competing in the Senior Olympics, he is an active U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS) swimmer and serves on the Board of the Michigan Local Masters Swimming Committee (LMSC).

Outside of swimming, Tom enjoys lapidary as a creative hobby and always looks forward to traveling with his wife, Andrea.
