  • Monday, August 12 - ALL SINGLES

COST: $53 Registration Fee + $25 Yearly MSO Membership Fee (if not already a 2024 MSO member, valid 1/1/24-12/31/24)

- MSO Opening Ceremony – Friday, August 9, 2024 from 6-8pm at Bloomer Park - Join us for a FREE event for all athletes and your families. This event will include FREE FOOD, Live Music by “Tommy Gunn and the GMen”, vendor tables, inflatable games, torch lighting ceremony, and much more!

- Celebration of Athletes Dinner & Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony - Monday, August 19, 2024 - Italian American Cultural Society, 43843 Romeo Plank Rd #1, Clinton Twp, MI 48038 – Cost: $30 per ticket - Includes dinner, Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony, Silent Auction, and Guest Speaker: Ken Dallafior, Detroit Lions Alumni. MUST PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE!!!

POLICIES
- INCLEMENT WEATHER: There will be NO REFUNDS of entry fees because of rain or an other acts of nature. Sports using outdoor sites are weather dependent. Competitions will be conducted unless officials determine otherwise.

This tournament is a QUALIFIER for the National Senior Games which will be in Iowa in 2025.

Athletes will compete in 5 year age groups (50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89)
Within those age groups we will also split you up based on your Skill Level (3.0 and below, 3.5, or 4.0 and above).

REMINDER: There now is a non-refundable software service fee charged to players by Pickleballbrackets.com. This is $5 per event ($10 maximum) and must be paid even if you are signing up without a partner and do not get in.

FORMAT:
Groups of 3 or less will get combined with either age group or skill level above or below based on numbers.
Groups of 4-5 will play round robin with 1 game to 21 - NO PLAYOFFS
Groups of 6-7 will play round robin with 1 game to 15 - NO PLAYOFFS
Groups 8+ will play a standard double elimination bracket (best 2/3 games to 11, and 1 game to 15 in the Loser’s Bracket including the Bronze Medal match)

IF AGE GROUPS OR SKILL LEVELS ARE COMBINED MEDALS WILL BE AWARDED BASED ON THE BRACKETS AT THE TIME REGISTRATION CLOSES.

YOU MAY CHANGE YOUR CHOICE OF SKILL LEVEL (from the above list) ONLY UNTIL REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. THEN THE YOUR CHOICE IS FINAL. IF YOU NEED TO REPLACE A PARTNER AFTER THIS HE/SHE MUST FIT INTO YOUR BRACKET.

REGISTRATION WILL PAUSE OR CLOSE WHEN THERE ARE 50 ENTRIES (A TEAM IS 1 ENTRY, A SINGLE IS 1 ENTRY) FOR THE DAY. TEAMS WILL BE MOVED OFF THE WAITLIST INTO BRACKETS IF WE SEE WE CAN ADD MORE. NOTE: The maximum limit for each bracket will be determined when the 50 is hit for the day. The bigger brackets at that point will get a higher limit than the others. So register early!!

Additional Information

This is a USAP MMP Sanctioned Event. You must be a USAP Member to participate. The Michigan Senior Olympics also has a $25 membership fee. The membership fee for the Michigan Senior Olympics covers both the Winter & Summer Games in 2024. As a non-profit organization the Membership Fee is what helps to keep our programs up and running. Thank you!

Additional information:
You must register for the age bracket of the younger player and the skill level of the higher skilled player.

***Parking - Please park in the front parking lot entrance. There is very limited parking in the back by the dome.

*** DOUBLES PARTNERS - Your partner must register within 7 days or you go to the waitlist.
